Your faculty's projects, scaffolded once, used by every class
You already have projects that work. We turn them into guided tutorials and Quick design presets with your sizes, joints and materials, so every teacher in the faculty can run CAD the same way.
How a custom preset is made
You send what you already teach. We do the building, and you check it before any student sees it.
Send what you teach
The project booklet, drawings, cutting list and any marking criteria. Photos of finished student work help.
We build the steps
Locked sizes and joints, the parts students can change, step-by-step checks, hints, Show me examples and printable templates.
You review it
Try it as a student would. We adjust wording, sizes and checks until it matches how you teach.

Share one link, such as

Example: Year 7 Thematic Table Light
A Stage 4 Materials project: a Pacific Maple light box with a student-designed base and display panel, lit by USB fairy lights. Students model the frame in a 15-step tutorial or design the base and panel in Quick design.
| What the teacher sets | What students design |
|---|---|
| Frame from 12 × 65 mm Pacific Maple, A5 window | Base length 160–250 mm and width 70–90 mm |
| Grooves 4 mm wide, 4 mm deep, 6 mm from each edge | Corners: square, round or chamfer, each one separately |
| Top rebated 12 × 6 mm, bottom butt-jointed | Curved front, back or ends |
| Rail 12 × 40 mm Radiata Pine, on edge | Display panel in layered polypropylene or 3 mm acrylic |
| Hand-tool limits on edge profiles | Shapes, text or a traced picture, and the wire hole position |
Curriculum fit
SchoolCAD is built around how CAD is taught in Australian secondary TAS.
NSW Technology 7–8 (2023)
Supports the syllabus requirement for students to use digital systems to design and produce projects, taught in every NSW secondary school from 2026.
Australian Curriculum
Supports AC9TDE8P02: students communicate design ideas using digital tools.
AS 1100 drawings
Third-angle orthographic views, title blocks and dimensioning conventions that match what students meet in senior years.
Pathways to industry CAD
The same terms and workflow as Onshape, Fusion and SolidWorks, so Stage 4 skills carry into Stage 5 and 6.
Privacy and IT
The free version collects no student information. Paid features that need accounts are being built to meet Australian school requirements before they launch.
Free version: nothing to review
No accounts, no sign-in and no student work uploaded. Designs are saved in the browser and to a file the student keeps.
Hosted in Australia's region
Runs on Cloudflare. School-plan student work will be stored in the Oceania region.
Built for procurement
A privacy policy written to the Australian Privacy Principles, and a Safer Technologies 4 Schools (ST4S) assessment once accounts launch.
Book a demo, or apply for a founding place
Twenty founding schools pay half price, A$745 a year for two years from Term 1 2027, and get one of their projects built as a preset. In return we ask for honest feedback and a short case study.
Email us with your school, the year groups that do CAD, and a project you'd like to see in SchoolCAD. We'll reply with a time for a 15-minute demo using that project.
